A little travel writing for you, my time in Dubai

My time in Dubai on April 2013.

My first day in dubai - and its coming morning i caught a taxi, the sun was hot as i made my way to the Dubai mall, home to the tallest building in the world and choreographed fountain. Tourists love it here, as did i. The 10 minuet taxi ride was spent browsing the wide stretched roads of Dubai, palm trees scattered across every pavement and a rich collection of buildings, which to me was taken to a new level of building design!! Tipping the kind taxi driver, stepping out in front of the Burj Khalifa was unreal, leaning my head so far back it started to hurt, felt as though i was going to fall over, this is it! the tallest building in the world. After admiring the height of the burj i then was overwhelmed by the size of the mall, seemed bigger than any mall in the UK combined. Inside is beautiful, huge with many floors of great dining restaurants (may i suggest P.F Changs) there are souks, every store you can think of and more. We soon found one of the best coffee shops ive ever been too 'Papa Roti'. Soon found myself sitting outside the fountain i heard so much about, whilst having my very first shawarma, middle east fave, when everything went quiet- and this was by far my most favourable memory- the fountain, i had never seen anything like it, its almost like all bad-thoughts are banished and everyone's bodies are stood in fascination as if the world has stopped moving, as we gazed out at this masterpiece, and this wouldn't be an understatement, with the sound of sweet Arabic music and world popular music, the best i witnessed was Whitney Houston 'i will always love you' was a magical moment i wont forget.
