How to get slimmer without surgery
It’s true that black clothing makes you look slimmer, that’s
why every women has a little black dress somewhere in their wardrobe.
If you want to hide any lumps and bumps lighter clothing
emphasise your contours and produce unwanted shadows. Black clothing can even
make you appear taller, yes!
If you black wearing lovers are feeling daring, go ahead and
wear full head-to-toe black, it is the oldest trick in the book, and for good
reason, it helps create a vertical line, it is the most effective and chicest
option.
Colour is the first thing most people see in an outfit, plus
it is extremely elegant and very easy to dress.
There are many people who are self-conscious about the way
they look, being insecure about your image is very common, with a few tips: by
dressing for body type and wearing clothes that can actually sped pounds from
your image will give anyone a confidence boost.
If you want to give off a thinner appearance it is key to
stay away from certain clothing and colours and focus more on others. For e.g.
wearing clothes that cut off at the widest part of your body is a big no no,
such as shorts that cut off at your calf.
Instead, opt for a knee length skirt or straight jeans add
some heels for that extra length to elongate your body and create a silhouette.
Lastly go for the dark shades, black is the best bet.
Do’s and Dont’s
Do… Wearing all black is the oldest trick in the book, and
most effective.
Don’t… Wear crop tops, shorts or skirts that cut off at your
unwanted body parts
Don’t… Wear only white clothing
Do… Wear vertical lines
Don’t… Wear horizontal lines
Wearing black is a well-known fact for making you appear slimmer, it creates rooms and objects appear smaller so why not us.
If you don’t fancy wearing all black, mix it up. If you are
top heavy wear a black top and coloured bottoms, and if you are bottom heavy
wear black trousers with a coloured top, this also helps balance out your proportion.
It is true that bright clothing can actually do the exact
opposite and could make you appear bigger, which doesn’t mean you have to stay
away, you just need to know how to mix it up.
Let’s face it some of us are too busy to count calories or
visit the gym regularly, wearing black would save us both time and money.
Full time student Kate King said: “most of my wardrobe is
black clothing, I just love it. It’s comfortable and takes me 10 minutes to get
ready as it matches everything”
Samantha Dennings said: “black clothing is my life, I don’t
wear much else. I don’t know what it is about the colour, I just feel
confident. I do feel slimmer wearing this colour of clothing”.
Sheldon Singh said: “black is for all occasions, and there
are days where you feel a little frumpy and want to feel good about yourself,
the day after Christmas for e.g. or have skipped the gym for a week. Wearing
black is a quick and easy solution”.
So if you are looking for a quick fix, look glamorous in
black and look pounds lighter doing it.
Major moves for winter
Winter is approaching, and it’s about to become cold and
dull, doesn’t mean your clothes have to be boring and unflattering. Actually,
we believe there are more clothing options during this time, layers and layers
of it.
Keeping you feeling warm and cosy, but still looking chic
and simply comfortable in your own skin.
Whether you want to get a new wardrobe each winter, which
let’s face it is lots of fun, or even style out your existing wardrobe. That
spring dress you can’t bare to return to the back of your wardrobe can easily
be styled with a warm coat, and tights, it’s a way to extend the life of your
summery dresses.
Tights are a life save for winter, it is a way to turn up
your outfit without freezing to death. Especially for a night out on the town, don’t
forget to make them black.
The first thing we associate with winter are coats, and is
actually the most important thing in your winter wardrobe, it will be the first
thing people see, it will be your visible ‘hello’.
So whether it’s a trenchcoat, ever since Burberry it has
become a fashion choice. Or perhaps the duffelcoat, the ultimate cosy coat with
a big hood and wide pockets. Or maybe a parka, the comfortable yet glamorous
option. Whichever you choose let’s face it, it will get you through the coldest
of seasons. Make it black.
Another important one is sweaters and jumpers, there’s
nothing better than a sweater in wintertime. They are incredibly snug, so snug
you could live in them, forever, or a very long time.
From a chunky knit to a turtle neck, there’s nothing more
than a sweater to make winter feel more like winter.
The best thing about sweaters is they are so easy to dress,
on those days where you’re in a rush and need a quick outfit to throw together,
whether that’s skinny jeans, pencil skirt or leather leggings, it all works.
Don’t forget, make it back.
Accessories such as hats, gloves and scarfs are super cute
and weather appropriate, just because you have to bundle up doesn’t mean you
can’t look good. Take a luxury oversized scarf and wrap up warm, keep your feet
warm ad toasty with a pair of fur lined boots, a simple woolly hat and ear
muffs that will keep your ears feeling like summer, and we can’t stress enough
the sheer importance of woolly socks. And remember black is best.
When we think of winter we associate it with, skiing, turtle
necks, boots, hot spas, ice skating, Christmas and many more. When we add
clothes to these winter wonderland activates it all seems a lot easier. Let’s
be honest- it’s all about the coat.
The season’s best is all about comfort with the day-to-day
duties in the chilly temperatures most defiantly bars bare legs. So remember
those woolly tights cause baby, its cold outside.
