Dolce and Gabbana is leading the way by designing its first ever range for the haute hijabs and Abaya’s collection. The Italian fashion house has released 12 styles, the selection provides designs of red roses, daisy’s and lemons including signature colourful prints and polkdadots In colours of black and neutrals with silk, satin and lace for fabrics. In keeping with the brands spring/summer 16 collection.
Designer Stefano Gabbana teased us with the line earlier this year and proudly revealed the collection overInstagram a day ago to share a preview with followers “Dolce & Gabbana the Abaya collection”
It’s well known that there appears to be a blind spot for which big brands have failed to cater for, only the exception of Ramadan one offs. Which is why the D&G announcement is so huge, that they are outdoing themselves in 2016 in terms of diversity. Moves to the target of a growing market, a major growth in retail/fashion in the Arab world, and we want it all.
