Armani have pledged to be fur free, no longer using real animal fur for clothing purposes following the2016 fall/winter collection, after years of being involved in animal rights groups. It was made in agreement with the Fur Free Alliance joining already existing animal fur free brands such as Stella McCartney, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss and more.

The Italian label since 1975 is making this pledge applicable across all his labels from Emporio Armani, Armani Jeans and Armani Exchange.

Designer Giorgio Armarni statement on Tuesday, March 22“I am pleased to announce that the Armani Group has made a firm commitment to abolish the use of animal fur in its collections. Technological progress made over the years allows us to have valid alternatives at our disposition that render the use of cruel practices unnecessary as regards animals.”

“Pursuing the positive process undertaken long ago, my company is now taking a major step ahead, reflecting our attention to the critical issues of protecting and caring for the environment and animals.
