H&M's wedding dress collection for spring 2016

H&M have unveiled their new 2016 collection, which includes bridal wear at affordable prices. Appropriate now that the wedding season is upon us. “For the bride wanting to be as beautifully dressed as she is conscious.”

Swedish retailer introduced the new line which contains 3 new wedding dresses. One dress is a floor length gown including part sheer lace and high neck (£249.99). Another is more for the modern day, plunging, structured gown with unique detailing (£149.99). The third screams Boho romantic silk gown with beading (£399.99) and one alternative knee length midi skirt (£119.99) and top (£49.99).

H&M aren’t the first to try this as brands like ASOS have their own bridal collection also. However H&M are the latesthigh street to jump on the bandwagon. What also makes the brand stand out is being eco-friendly, the collection is recycled worn-out denim, and this is the first fashion company to use this.

“Working with innovative sustainable materials and ornate embellishment, the collection is a layering of references, shapes and textures topped off by intensely decorative accessories and deco-inspired bijoux”says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

Wedding dresses aside the spring/summer 2016 collection this year launched to coincide with the exhibition ‘Fashion Forward’ 300 years of Fashion at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the range is based on the museum’s three centuries of haute couture. The bridal wear is being released as part of a 35-piece range

The collection will be available in 180 H&M stores worldwide and online from 7 April.
