Balmain announced the collaboration with sportswear brand Nike. Publicized by head of Balmain,creative director, Olivier Rousteing on Instagram yesterday (Sunday May 22nd) by posting three photos of the Nike logo and his own initials with the Caption “ARE YOU READY? #nikelab #dreamteam #champions @nikelab #getready #epic.” Judging from the design and color choice it could mean the new collection is in colors gold and black.
Recent numerous collaborations with H&M (Balmain X H&M) including a sell-out rage of clothing and fragrance proved to be very successful. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci also collaborated with Nike as seen in the latest collection from the brand
It is yet to be commented on what the range will include and whether sneakers are in the mix, however we could guess for the upcoming NikeLab, Balmains signature detailing will be thrown in.
It will be interesting to see how the collaboration turns out, knowing that both brands excel individually. No doubt the much supportive Kardashian family are on board.
