Kanye West is once again amongst the famous faces of the French fashion house Balmain, as creative director Olivier Rousteingcasts Yeezy and model Joan Smalls to appear in their new Fall/Winter 2016 ad campaign. The inspiration for the campaign is“Music Meets Fashion”, so who better to get involved than Kanye West. It’s not the first time he’s starred in a Balmain campaign, he previously appeared in their December 2014 “Army of Lovers” campaign alongside wife, Kim Kardashian.
Two short videos clips were revealed on the Balmain Instagram page, (one of which below) as “THE #BALMAINARMY IS COMING BACK, STARRING @KANYEWEST & @JOANSMALLS,” was tweeted by the designer. Photographed by Steven Klein in black and white shots including the image of Kanye in a custom Balmain jacket first seen at this year’s Met Gala and Joan in multiple ruffles.
