New buys - August post

Hello,

Welcome back to my blog. This post is to mention my most recent buys during this month. You can get almost all of these products from your local Boots store.

First up is shampoo and conditioner, i wanted to try products from the new Herbal Essesces Bio: Renew line. I decided on coconut milk for shampoo and argan oil morocco for conditioner. How i wash my hair is i use a decent amount of shampoo and really massage it in to my scalp, making sure the product fully lathers up, sometimes i even go in with a second shampoo depending on how much it lathers. With the conditioner i do not apply it no where near the roots, this is because it tends to make the hair appear greasier a lot quicker, resulting in washing the hair again before it actually needs it. Now that i have tried these products a few times in the shower, i highly recommend them. They smell really good, although it is pricier than what i would usually spend on shampoo and conditioner the bottle is quite big so it will last a long time. But more importantly i have been washing my hair less because of it.

Next up is the oil infussed Micellar Water  by Garnier which i have been wanting to try for some time now. I don't usually use oil in my skincare routine as much as i would want so this would be an extra step. It cleans the skin removing any traces of makeup and also leaves the skin really soft and clean.

I decided to try out hair oil, and i went for Coco Loco by Lee Stafford. I got the travel size to try it out as a beginner but you really only need the smallest amount and apply it to the mid lengths of the hair to the very ends. I wanted to try a hair oil to tame any wispy or fly away hair, it leaves the hair looking much healthier and in place.

My hair is naturally curly but i always always always dry it smooth, i bought John Frieda frizz ease curl reviver , to give my hair a break from heat such as dryers and straighteners and leaving my hair to dry naturally atleast once every 2 weeks. This is a moose product used on wet hair, and it basically helps define your natural curls and prevents bushyness. This is the first and only curling product i have ever tried, but due to this product my curly hair is actually growing on me, for the first time in more than 2 decades. It's about time.

I purchased the small travel size Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask by Origins which really smells amazing! the texture is super thick to really work deep within the skin to quench its thirst for moisture. I plan to only use this during the colders nights or whenever i feel my skin is lacking moisture.

I also wanted to mention Bodyshops new face mask - Japanese Matcha Tea. Has anyone tried this out yet? any good? Let me know your thoughts on the product in the comment box below.
