I am one of those who during my youth hated my natural curly hair, and used to straighten it religiously. It is true everyone who has curly hair wants straight hair and vice versa, which is the sad reality when we should be embracing our natural beauty and what makes us, us. I do feel like more people are doing this especially during this pandemic.
It is also an healthier option to work with your natural hair rather than applying lots of heat which over time can be damaging. I challenge you to try some small at home solutions to more healthy looking hair.
- To let your hair dry naturally
- Avoid heat
- Do not over wash your hair
I like Bb Curl range from Bumble and bumble. After washing my hair, I allow it to semi dry in my towel, but still wet. I start with a heat protectant and comb my hair, next is a primer (BUY HERE) which is a spray that I scrunch in to create natural curls, and the final product I use is Anti-Humidity Oil-Gel (BUY HERE) This is where you can use a diffuser hairdryer to dry the curls in place, or like me on this occasion let it air dry naturally.
John Freida Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Mousse (BUY HERE) is a more affordable dupe and still very effective and easier to get your hands on
See you next time x
