Maison Margiela presented its fall 2016 collection during Paris Fashion Week, day 2. Designer John Galliano steered away from its usual traditions in terms of the minimal purity used, instead he took “a non-traditional approach”.
Including pieces such as military jackets, camel trench coats, pencil skirts, bow blouses, faux furs, and oversized knits, using sequins and silks, most were nipped in at the waist with an oversize belt with giant buckles, topped off with contrasting color, bobbed wigs, large earrings and muffs. Maison Margielaprovide a great deal of complicated looks within this collection, there is indeed a lot going on, however makes the runway totally interesting and creative. Essentially for outerwear.
